Speed Paintings

A few of the guys I work with have committed to doing a daily speed painting, 30 minutes, in painter. So far they have been landscapes. It's a great challenge and I feel like I am learning a lot from it! Check'em out... let me know what you think. I have posted the latest two, more to come later.

Wow - these are great! If I could paint something this nice in 30 minutes, imagine what I could do in an hour. Well... two paintings, I suppose. I couldn't paint like this in two weeks, though. Nice stuff, man.

These are great, Oliver! How do I get in on this action? Are you painting from reference?

Just start doing some and post them on your blog! They are from reference, the rules we have been following are: no sampling colors and only 30 minutes. I'd love to see some of your paintings!

These are some of the nicest speed paintings I've seen- Especially like the (nearly) b&w piece.
